It was good

Seven times in the first chapter of Genesis we read that God was pleased with his creation. 

As I type this I am incredibly frustrated and discouraged with God’s creation….the heat, the gnats and mosquitoes, the heat, the allergens, the people, the heat (mostly the heat).

But I am also incredibly embarrassed at how superficial I am. 

God created this world and saw that it was good. I (and maybe you, but definitely  me) need to start looking at this world through the lens of it being God’s creation, rather than our playground. 

Genesis 1:31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.
